(WXYZ) — Detroit City FC revealed their new uniforms during a special event with season ticket holders on Sunday evening, showcasing redesigned home and away kits, along with elements inspired by the Lions and Pistons.
The new kits feature the AlumniFi logo, the digital-first financial arm of MSU Federal Credit Union, as the primary sponsor.
For the home kit, the team’s signature rouge takes center stage with white sleeves, and the iconic DCFC logo is displayed on the chest. The away uniform incorporates more white, with emerald green on the front and the Spirit of Detroit logo on the chest.
The goaltender kits were inspired by the Pistons and Lions. The home goaltender jersey draws from the retro teal Pistons design and features the cursive “Detroit City FC” on the chest. The away goaltender jersey mirrors the Lions’ colors with a light blue and grey scheme, complete with grey sleeves resembling the Lions’ jerseys.
Detroit City FC will begin its season on March 8 away in Miami, with the home opener scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at Keyworth Stadium.
