The Detroit Lions are out of the time constraints and back on track.
The NFL is set to unveil the regular-season schedules for all 32 teams during its official announcement on Wednesday, May 14. The announcement will be aired on NFL Network and streamed through the NFL’s online services, such as the NFL+ app and NFL.com.
We are aware of all the opponents of the Lions, but the sequence in which Detroit will compete against them remains unknown. We also understand that the Lions face a tough path to the Super Bowl with the third-hardest regular-season schedule in the NFL, as noted by betting expert Warren Sharp.
Furthermore, the Lions will compete in four preseason games instead of three due to their participation in the Hall of Fame game held in Canton, Ohio.
Although the official schedule won’t be released until Wednesday, the NFL often tends to leak intriguing matchups and significant games ahead of the actual announcement, and that process has already begun.

Detroit Lions schedule release rumors and updates
Detroit Lions will not be in season opener like in 2023 vs Chiefs
Despite speculation that they might be included, the Lions will not participate in the league-opening Thursday Night Football matchup against the Eagles.
Instead, it will be the other America’s Team, the Dallas Cowboys, facing the reigning Super Bowl champions in the yearly matchup.
Mike Tirico announced on the “TODAY” show early Monday morning, indicating that the Lions will not begin the regular season early, in contrast to their preseason timetable.
Tirico even pointed out the Lions as the prime candidate for the teams it might be, before disclosing that it is actually the Cowboys who will tackle the challenging Week 1 task.
