West Virginia took the lead on an Armani Guzman RBI single in the second inning, and after BYU tied it up, Skylar King put the Mountaineers back on top with a solo home run in the third . The team continued to build on their lead, with Gavin Kelly adding an RBI single to make it a 3-1 game

The Mountaineers’ win evens the series at a game apiece, with the rubber match scheduled for Saturday  Carson Estride will take the mound for West Virginia, looking to secure a series win
