Judas Priest has announced plans to release a new studio album before the end of 2025, marking their first since 1981’s Coda. The album, tentatively titled Echoes of Time, is set to feature the iconic trio of Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, and Ian Hill, alongside current members Richie Faulkner, Scott Travis, and producer Andy Sneap.
In a recent interview, Halford expressed that while the band hasn’t yet entered the studio, creating new music is “inevitable” for their continued relevance. He emphasized the importance of downtime for the band to recharge before embarking on their next musical journey .
Drummer Scott Travis echoed this sentiment, stating that the band hopes to begin working on the new album in 2026. He highlighted the flexibility in their recording process, noting that they recorded parts of Invincible Shield in various locations, including Nashville, England, and even hotel rooms during tours .
Guitarist Richie Faulkner also shared that the band is constantly generating new ideas, with riffs and melodies emerging regularly. He expressed optimism about pooling these ideas in early 2026 to create something fresh and exciting .
