HAPPY ANNIVERSARY — North Carolina Coach Hubert Davis and Wife Leslie, Celebrate 26th Wedding Anniversary! I Will Grow Older With You! Together Forever, Stronger Than Ever! Happy 26th Anniversary!💙
Their story truly began long before that day. Leslie, an “Army child” born November 3, 1971, and Hubert, born May 17, 1970, first crossed paths as high school students at Lake Braddock Secondary in Burke, Virginia. At 16 and 15, they forged a deep bond that has remained with them ever since. Their friendship blossomed during college as they both attended UNC‑Chapel Hill, becoming inseparable study partners, teammates in worship, and lifelong confidants .
After Leslie’s graduation, they took the next step—dating and marrying in 1999, launching a marriage rooted in truth, mutual respect, and shared purpose. This April they celebrated their 26th year—for more than a quarter of a century standing side by side.
Together, they’ve raised three children: Elijah, Bobbie Grace (“Gracie”), and Micah . Leslie’s unwavering support has been the backbone of their family. She nurtures their children while cheering on Hubert’s career—first as a standout NBA sharpshooter, then as an ESPN analyst, assistant coach (2012–21), and now as the first African-American head coach of the Tar Heels
Leslie’s generosity and spiritual strength have helped Hubert navigate life’s toughest challenges—like the loss of his mother—by opening his heart to love, faith, and community. Coach Roy Williams once said Hubert is “the nicest man I’ve ever known,” a sentiment he credits to Leslie’s influence
For 26 years—and a friendship spanning nearly 40—the Davises embody a timeless love story where age, adversity, and changing roles only deepen their bond. Strong, faithful, and forever together, they remain living proof that true love grows richer with time. 💙
