I really really dislike Zakk Wylde’s guitar playing. The constant overuse of pinch harmonics ruin almost every track he plays on with Ozzy. Don’t get me wrong, there are some great Zakk and Ozzy tracks, but I can’t help feeling his playing detracted from the overall Ozzy aesthetic. I saw Ozzy solo in 20p7 in Birmingham and BLS were supporting. I’d never listened to them before but hated it. I was even more disappointed to find he was also Ozzy’s guitar player (I was 17, didn’t know a lot back then). Anyone else agree or am I a heathen for thinking this? I really struggle to listen to some of Ozzy’s later solo stuff because of this.
