President Donald Trump strongly condemned NFL teams for failing to select Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders in the first round of Thursday’s draft, labeling all 32 team owners as “stupid.”
Sanders, the child of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, was not selected within the initial 32 choices. Although numerous mock drafts placed Shedeur Sanders in the first round — typically linking him to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 21 — there wasn’t a strong agreement on his status as a first-round selection.
